This Guatemalan patient presented three days after spilling boiling water on her foot. Over that time the bullae had continued to expand and her pain increased. The only treatment she had administered was to clean it with toothpaste.

The patient refused to be transferred to the hospital and was given dicloxaciilin for infection prophlyaxis.

Skin ulceration and necrosis in a toe of a patient with severe CREST syndrome. The white nodule is a hard calcium plaque that resembled others the patient reported were naturally expelled from her body.

A classic presentation of necrotic arachnidism (Loxoscelism) in a 35 year old male. While a variety of spider bites can cause this reaction, it is most commonly associated with brown recluse bites.

The bites are usually painless, but soon can develop an eschar followed by tissue necrosis and skin sloughing. Necrosis is more common in areas of increased adipose.
